The New River Valley Conference is one of the oldest high school athletic conferences in the nation. Starting in the late 1930's, the NRVC today serves eleven schools in south central West Virginia. It is named for the New River which runs between the schools in the conference. The second oldest river in the world, the New River is noted for white water rafting trips and beautiful surroundings. A total of twelve championships are determined in a variety of interscholastic sports activities along with selecting ALL CONFERENCE teams among the athletes and COACH OF THE YEAR honors. The hope is you will enjoy learning about our conference and in the future this web site can serve as a vital link in the continued growth of the conference.
